iSCSI (Internet SCSI) <strong>Command</strong>sconnection -pingnodeVerifies that packets reach a destination node without errorsDescriptionThe naviseccli connection command with the -pingnode functiontransmits packets to a target node and returns a notification that thepackets have reached the node without errors. The connection-pingnode command pings a target node from the iSCSI port. Use theconnection -pingnode and the connection -traceroute commands toverify and diagnose network connectivity.Syntax connection -pingnode is used with naviseccli (described on page 37)as follows:connection -pingnode -sp a|b -portid portid -address address[-packetSize packetSize] [-count count] [-timeouts timeouts][-delays delays]PrerequisitesOptionsYou must have a user account on the storage system on which youwant to execute the command.-sp a|bSpecifies either storage processor A or storage processor B.-portid portidSpecifies the port on the SP, either 0 or 1. For example, an SP withone port has port 0; an SP with two ports has port 0 and port 1.-address addressSpecifies the IP address of the target node that the iSCSI port willping. The address is a 32-bit numeric address written as fournumbers separated by periods, for example, 128.221.56.52.Network names are not supported.-packetSize packetSizeSpecifies the size of the packets in bytes. The default is 32 bytes,the minimum is 0 bytes, and the maximum is 2048 bytes.-count countSpecifies the number of pings to send. The default is 4; theminimum is 1.383
