Reserved LUN Pool Commandsreserved -lunpool -addlun (AX4-5 series running NavisphereManager and CX series only)Adds a LUN to the reserved LUN poolDescriptionThe naviseccli or navicli reserved command with the -lunpool and-addlun functions adds one or more LUNs to the reserved LUN pool. Each storage system has its own reserved LUN pool, and beforestarting a replication session, the reserved LUN pool must contain atleast one LUN for each source LUN that will be participating in asession.Note: Replication sessions include SnapView sessions and any reservedsessions for use in another application, such as incremental SAN Copy andMirrorView/A.The software allocates reserved LUNs on a per source LUN basis. Each storage system manages its own reserved LUN pool space andallocates reserved LUNs on a per-source LUN basis, not a per-sessionbasis.Note: You must bind the LUN before you can add it to the reserved LUNpool. While a LUN is part of the reserved LUN pool, you cannot use it for anyother purpose.SyntaxPrerequisitesOptionsOutputreserved -lunpool -addlun is used with naviseccli (described onpage 37) or navicli (described on page 45) as follows:reserved -lunpool -addlun lun_numbersFor naviseccli, you must have a user account on the storage systemon which you want to execute the command. For navicli, you must have a user entry in the Navisphere agentconfiguration file.lun_numbersSpecifies the logical unit number(s) to add to the reserved LUNpool. If the version of software running on the SP does not support thiscommand, a Command is not supported error message isprinted to stderr.357
