Basic <strong>Command</strong>sremoteconfig -getconfig (not supported on AX4-5 series)Displays information about a host or SP agentremoteconfigBackgroundThe remoteconfig command displays and sets agent configurationinformation. An agent can be any host agent or SP agent. Thesecommands let you get and set the configuration of the agent runningon a remote host, scan all the devices in the storage system on aremote host, and stop the agent running on a host.Note: If you are running <strong>VMware</strong> ESX Server and issuing this command to avirtual machine (VM), it cannot target the host agent because the <strong>Navisphere</strong>Host Agent is supported only on ESX Server.DescriptionThe naviseccli or navicli remoteconfig command with -getconfigdisplays information on the agent running on an SP. To displayinformation on the agent for the specified host, use navicli in thecommand line. If you omit switches, the command displays all agentinformation. You can request specific information with switches.To write the agent information to a file, use the -write filename switch.If you use -write, the <strong>CLI</strong> writes all information to the file; you cannotselect specific information with switches. If a file with the same nameexists, the <strong>CLI</strong> will verify to overwrite.The format of the display when you use naviseccli is as follows.Entries marked with an asterisk (*) would appear only if you usenavicli and issue the command to a host.247
