LUN Expansion (MetaLUN) <strong>Command</strong>smetalun -destroyDescriptionDestroys a metaLUN and unbinds all LUNs that were part of themetaLUNThe naviseccli metalun command with the -destroy switch destroysan existing metaLUN and then unbinds all LUNs that were part ofthe metaLUN. You will lose all data on the LUNs.Note: You cannot destroy a metaLUN that belongs to a storage group. Youmust remove the metaLUN from the storage group in order to destroy it. Youcannot destroy any metaLUNs that are currently participating in a snapshot,clone, mirror or SAN Copy session.SyntaxPrerequisitesOptionsmetalun -destroy is used with naviseccli (described on page 37) asfollows:metalun -destroy -metalun number|WWN |[-o]You must have a user account on the storage system on which youwant to execute the command.-metalun number|WWNSpecifies the unique number or World Wide Name of themetaLUN you want to destroy. Use only one of the identifierswith the -metalun command. Use the metalun -list command todetermine the number or WWN of the metaLUN (see “metalun-list” on page 341).-oExecutes the command without prompting for confirmation.Example naviseccli metalun -destroy 20This command destroys the metaLUN with the number 20.329
