112 Creating an Instrument Control Method<br />

Dispenser Controlled Injection<br />

For the dispenser controlled injection, specify the Preflush Volume<br />

(30-999 µl).<br />

Pressure Controlled Injection<br />

For the pressure controlled injection, specify the Flush Time (1-999<br />

seconds).<br />

Check the Needle Wash button to select needle wash.<br />

Temperature Control<br />

Check the Enable tray cooling field if your sampler is equipped with the<br />

tray cooling facility and you want to use it.<br />

Aux(iliaries)<br />

This section allows you to program auxiliary output(s) for the AS 3800.<br />

Enable Aux1<br />

Select this box if time programmable auxiliary output 1 is to be used.<br />

(Aux1) Time ON<br />

Enter the time at which auxiliary 1 must switch ON (0 - 99 min 59 sec).<br />

(Aux1) Time OFF<br />

Enter the time at which auxiliary 1 must switch OFF (0 - 99 min 59<br />

sec).<br />

Enable Aux2<br />

Select this box if time programmable auxiliary output 2 is to be used.<br />

(Aux2) Time ON<br />

Enter the time at which auxiliary 2 must switch ON (0 - 99 min 59 sec).<br />

(Aux2) Time OFF<br />

Enter the time at which auxiliary 2 must switch OFF (0 - 99 min 59<br />

sec).<br />

Instrument Setup – Autosampler Knauer Optimas / 3900 (Midas)<br />

The method parameters required for automatic operation of your<br />

autosampler are contained in the Method – Instrument Setup –<br />

Optimas/AS3900 tab. The control parameters for the autosampler<br />

become part of your method and sequence files.
