Channel 2 Input:<br />

Select the second connected data channel of your interface. It can be<br />

deactivated by the selection . The Kontron x32 detectors are<br />

automatically set to .<br />

Y-Axis Units<br />

Select the type of units to be displayed on the y-axis of your<br />

chromatogram from the drop-down list. The choices are AU (Absorption<br />

Units), mAU (0.001 AU) or µAU (0.000001 AU) and ADC counts.<br />

Configuration – Kontron Diode Array Detectors<br />

The Kontron PDA detectors are controlled similar to the Knauer detectors<br />

via the configured RS232 port.<br />

Name<br />

Enter a descriptive name for the detector. This name will appear on the<br />

detector tab when the instrument setup or status windows are displayed.<br />

The name must be unique within the instrument.<br />

Serial Number<br />

Type in the serial number of the detector you are using.<br />

Interface<br />

For the diode array detectors, the choice is PCI and LAN. If you control<br />

the DAD via the LAN, you must enter the IP Address. The access to the<br />

IP Address field is blocked if PCI was selected.<br />

Y-Axis Units<br />

Select the type of units to be displayed on the y-axis of your<br />

chromatogram from the drop-down list. The choices are AU (Absorption<br />

Units), mAU (0.001 AU) or µAU (0.000001 AU) and ADC counts.<br />

Selecting the ADC counts, the signal mode in the Instrument setup<br />

(page 102) will be indicated as ‘Intensity’ without access for<br />

changing it. This change you can perform in the configuration<br />

window only.<br />

Flow Cell<br />

Enter a description for the flow cell you are using. The description will be<br />

printed out when you print the instrument configuration.<br />

Channels<br />

Up to four channels can be activated. According to the selected number<br />

the fields Chn.Name #1-4 become accessible for editing.
