Enter additional information or comments to be printed out when you print<br />

the instrument configuration.<br />

Without the correct serial number, the communication with the<br />

pumps cannot be established.<br />

When complete, click OK to exit the dialog and return to the instrument<br />

configuration icon list.<br />

Configuration – Kontron Pumps<br />

For each pump (320/322/325, 420/422/425, or 520/522/525) in the<br />

Configured Modules window, double-click the icon and complete the<br />

configuration dialog. You have to make sure that all settings correspond<br />

to the settings at the pumps their selves. The configuration windows of all<br />

Kontron pumps (Fig. 59) look very similar that they can be described<br />

together.<br />

Name<br />

The name of the selected pump appears automatically. You can enter<br />

any other descriptive name for the pump. This name will appear on the<br />

pump tab when the instrument setup or status windows are displayed.<br />

Use a name which is unique within the instrument.<br />

Pump Type<br />

Select the type of pump you want to configure from the drop-down list.<br />

Gradient Mode<br />

In case of the 3xx pumps it is automatically set to isocratic and for the 5xx<br />

pumps to LPG. For the 4xx pumps the choices are HPG A, HPG B, or<br />

HPG C.<br />

Head<br />

Select the type of pump head you are using from the drop-down list. The<br />

choices are Analytical, Micro, and Semi Prep for all Kontron pumps.
