Creating an Instrument Control Method 137<br />

To use this feature, select the Perform Baseline Check option in the<br />

Single Run dialog box or include Baseline Check in the current<br />

Sequence line.<br />

Instrument Status of a (running) Control Method<br />

If you have the Instrument Control option installed, and your instrument<br />

configured as a <strong>KNAUER</strong> HPLC System, the instrument control functions<br />

appear as part of the Instrument Status area of your instrument window.<br />

To access the Instrument window where you can set up your devices and<br />

methods, double–click on the instrument icon you wish to start in the<br />

Main Menu. It may be required that you log-in before you can access the<br />

instrument window functions.<br />

System Status<br />

Open the Instrument Status Window using the menu sequence Control –<br />

Instrument Status.<br />

The Instrument Status window contains the status tabs for all configured<br />

instruments, and as shown in the figure below the system status tab,<br />

providing an overview for the whole system.<br />
