Name<br />

Enter a descriptive name for the sampler. This name will appear on the<br />

autosampler tab when the instrument setup or status windows are<br />

displayed. Use a name which is unique within the instrument.<br />

Serial Number<br />

Type in the serial number of the autosampler you are using.<br />

Device ID<br />

Select the device identifier for the autosampler from the drop-down list.<br />

This must match the settings of the autosampler being used. To check<br />

the device identifier for the Triathlon or Endurance autosampler, press<br />

the SYSTEM, MENU and then buttons<br />

on the autosampler keyboard.<br />

Serial Port<br />

Select the number for the communication port on your PC where the<br />

autosampler is connected.<br />

Loop Volume<br />

Enter the volume of the installed loop in µl.<br />

Tubing Volume<br />

Enter the volume of the installed needle and tubing in µl. If the original<br />

tube is installed, you can find the tubing volume on a label on the tube.<br />

Syringe Volume<br />

Select the volume of the installed syringe from the drop-down list. The<br />

choices are 100 µl, 250 µl, 500 µl, 1000 µl, and 10000 µl. The 10000 µl<br />

syringe can only be selected when a user defined injection method is<br />

used.<br />

Solvent Selection Valve (SSV) Option<br />

Check this box if you have a solvent selection valve installed.<br />

Tray Cooling<br />

Check this box if you want to control the tray cooling. The setting of the<br />

appropriate temperature will be done later as part of the instrument setup.<br />

Tray...<br />

Click the Tray button to set up the autosampler tray. The tray<br />

configuration dialog will depend on the autosampler type (see below).
