ENOTECAS<br />

It was their curiosity and passion for the world of wine that drove Renato Franceschin,<br />

a professional taster, and his daughter Marta to open this enoteca near the center<br />

of Settimo in 2002. The spacious premises consist of three rooms dedicated to Italian<br />

and foreign wines, spirits and accessories, plus quality regional food products. They were<br />

extended in 2005 to create an area for tasting and theme evenings involving Italian<br />

and foreign producers. “Drink well and drink the right amount without overspending”,<br />

is Renato and Marta’s philosophy. Here it is possible to discover up and coming new<br />

producers, selected for the value for money of their bottles and many local Piedmontese<br />

wines. The number of labels on display exceeds 1,000. Recently, in the wake of the recent<br />

“buta stupa” (“corked bottle” in Piedmontese dialect) campaign to provide restaurant<br />

diners with bags to take leftover wine home, the enoteca has launched the “portami via”<br />

(“take me away”) scheme, whereby customers choose a bottle, drink as much as they<br />

want and take the rest home. Closed Sunday and Monday morning.<br />
