BUTCHERS’ SHOPS
T
he spacious Boetto shop in Pont Canavese, at the foot of the Gran Paradiso,
features displays of artisan gastronomic specialties and products. Originally
a family-run butcher’s shop, which first opened in 1931, it has since expanded to
include a workshop for the slaughter of cows and pigs and the production of local
delicacies. The meat is carefully selected: only Piedmontese calves are used and
pigs come from local Canavese farms. The short supply chain concept is rigorously
respected to ensure wholesomeness and authenticity. The shop produces and sells
raw and boiled hams, boiling salami, coppa, flavored lardo, pancetta, potato salami,
Piedmontese veal bresaola and the local raw salami, salam pra d’la fera.
Closed Wednesday afternoon and holiday.
