COFFEE SHOPS Brother and sister Francesco and Elisa Mina share a passion for coffee, which they like to light-roast using monovarietals. Their specially selected blends come from Puerto Rico, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Brazil and Costa Rica. They also import a “monsooned” blend from India. Their own blends are unicum Fugace (100% monovarietal arabica), gourmet Puerto Turquino (100% arabica, a blend of unique varieties), the classic Gran Gusto (70% arabica and 30% robusta), the delicate Gran Es- presso (90% arabica and 10% robusta). The last two blends and decaffeinated coffee are also available in capsules and pods which conserve all the original aroma and flavor. The shop also sells select confectionery and spirits, and an e-commerce service will soon be up and running for online purchases. Closed Sunday and Thursday afternoon. 307

Il San Domingo, dai Caraibi, offre una lunga persistenza aromatica e un profumo di frutta secca che ne fa un ottimo dopo pasto. Il cru Etiopia ha un profumo intenso e liquoroso che ricorda la frutta tropicale, con poca acidità e povero di caf- feina. Il Costarica Shb (strictly hand beam) ha una fragranza agrumata, arricchita da mandorle e sentori di cioccolato e spezie. La nuova miscela di punta è la Damosso Royal, sempre 100% arabica, adatta alla gran parte delle preparazioni domestiche. Da quest’anno, per soddisfare le richieste del mercato, sono disponibili cialde (in carta naturale) prodotte con una miscela 70% arabica e 30% robusta, studiata per le macchinette espresso casalinghe. Sem- pre disponibili e apprezzati i biscotti e i gianduiotti al caffè, realizzati con una miscela apposita, specifica per l’abbinamento con il cacao. Chiuso mercoledì pomeriggio.
