ENOTECAS
In 2012 Papà Noè celebrated its 45th birthday. It was Loredana Scarabelli and
Mario Panizza who opened the enoteca in Corso De Gasperi in 1967, moving
to the present premises ten years or so ago. The interiors are most attractive, with
shelves and wood everywhere and walls plastered with bottles. Reading all the
labels on display can make you dizzy. There are more than 600 of them, from
producers great and small, Italian and foreign – with a particular predilection for
bottles from nearby France. Lots of space is given over to the best in bubbly, always
a hit with discerning customers. France is again at the forefront, naturellement.
But the best thing about the enoteca is that here you can find old vintage wines
perfectly kept and presented. The selection of whiskies and other fine spirits is also
excellent. From 6pm to 9pm aperitifs are served with 40 or so wines up for tasting
served with tasty savories.
