In their new premises on Corso Francia,
opened in summer 2011, Lorenzo Zuccarello
and his sister Valentina continue to produce
confectionery as they have done for the last
ten years and more — always with top quality
as their final aim. Cakes include torta Lavinia
(white chocolate and raspberries) and a sponge
sandwich cake filled with three chocolate
creams (plain, milk and white flavored with
vanilla). Chocolate goodies include pralines,
bassinati (small fruits and nuts coated in plain
chocolate), spreading creams (the Pariani is the
best of the bunch) and the new Mito azteco
(Aztec Myth), an assortment of as many as
35 different types of chocolate. The range is
rounded off by the cioccolatini della Certosa
(chocolates named for the Charterhouse, the
symbol of Collegno), flavored with hazelnut or
rum, and preferiti, filled with Pecetto cherries
soaked in maraschino. Finally, Zuccarello now
also makes its own ice-cream, which can be
tasted at the tables outside the new premises.
