he SorA’laMa’ brewery is run by Davide Zingarelli and master brewer Lorenzo Turco,<br />

with the help of Enrico Ponza, and housed in a renovated barn in Vaie, in the Susa<br />

Valley. The first thing that catches your eye when you get there is the unusual architecture,<br />

with large windows through which you can see the production equipment. The brewery is<br />

situated in a strategic position, which allows it to draw pure water, once bottled and marketed<br />

itself, from a spring. You’ll be impressed by the beer produced here using only traditional<br />

methods and without pasteurization. A number of varieties and types are available in 33 and<br />

75 cl and casks: Splash!, a fresh, quaffable weisse; chestnut-flavored Hurrà!; apple-flavored<br />

Gulp!; Mmm!, a dark stout; Oooh!, a double-malt amber beer; Glu Glu!, a double-malt pale<br />

ale; Slurp!, a delicate pale ale; and Wow!, a double-malt red ale. The brewery makes special<br />

typologies with personalized packaging on request. All the beers produced are on sale in the<br />

pub-restaurant-brasserie next door to the brewery. Closed Monday.<br />
