BUTCHERS’ SHOPS<br />

Near the market in the Santa Rita, the Barberis butcher’s shop carries on a tradition<br />

while, at the same time, expanding its product range. Piercarlo runs the family<br />

business, choosing cows on small trusted farms in the province of Cuneo, and selling<br />

guaranteed prime quality, traceable meat. Cuts are expertly displayed and customers are<br />

provided with advice on how to cook them. The shop also sells trippa di Moncalieri, cold,<br />

sliced tripe, veal sausage and suitably aged chicken and rabbit. Cured meats and cheeses<br />

are also on sale, all chosen with care and attention. In the shop’s delicatessen section,<br />

you will also find Piedmontese classics such as anchovies in parsley and garlic sauce and<br />

macerated in lemon juice, baked semolina and peppers and mushrooms preserved in oil, as<br />

well as a small assortment of Piedmontese wines, oils, agnolotti and dried pasta.<br />

Closed Sunday and Thursday afternoon.<br />
