ENOTECAS There’s a group of regular customers who would be lost without the always spot-on advice of Luisa Matta, who worked for years as a sommelier in the best restaurants of Turin. Here she stocks a broad range of Italian and French wines (the best reds of Bordeaux and Burgundy and brilliant bubblies), not to mention New World labels from Australia, New Zealand and South America, plus Israel, and sells them with a smile. Spirits fans will also find plenty to enthuse over among the lavish display on the first floor. The store closes for lunch but afterwards, late afternoon until 9pm, aperitif time, is the high point of the day, with 30-40 wines, spumantes and Champagnes up for tasting by the glass, always served with savories prepared by Umberto Cococcetta. La vera ragione del suo successo è ben spiegata dal motto scelto dai titolari: «Wine moment please!». Calma, prendiamoci un attimo di calma per degustare un buon vino. Questo è senza dubbio il posto giusto per farlo: ampia possibilità di scelta, tra oltre 1000 etichette nazionali ed estere, con la Francia ospite privilegiato con i suoi Champagne e i grandi rossi (Borgogna soprattutto). Troverete vini di grandi produttori, ma anche e soprattutto grandissimi vini di piccoli produttori, con una particolare attenzione alle realtà biologiche e biodinamiche. Poi le migliori produzioni dei microbirrifici artigianali, oli extravergini di oliva accuratamente selezionati e tutto ciò che aiuta a servire e degustare al meglio il vostro vino (cavatappi, decanter…). Nella seconda sala, via libera all’aperitivo serale con una bella scelta di vini a calice e deliziosi stuzzichini. Chiuso la domenica.
