BUTCHERS’ SHOPS<br />

This magnificent butcher’s shop in Piossasco has been run by Riccardo Oberto with<br />

his wife Susanna since 1975. It was opened in 1935 by his father Santino in1935.<br />

You can appreciate all Riccardo’s professional expertise and passion in his veal, ox meat<br />

and beef, all exclusively Piedmontese. The animals are selected at the origin on the best<br />

local livestock farms and monitored through every phase of their growth with controlled<br />

feeding and attention to their well-being. Riccardo also makes wonderful cured meats,<br />

such as hams, pancetta, lardo, sausage, salami, cotechino and zampone. Chickens and<br />

rabbits are supplied by a farm in Pralormo. The goods on sale are rounded off by cheeses<br />

from Piedmont and beyond, selected by Guffanti, fresh and dried pastas, rice, extra virgin<br />

olive oils, and other excellent Italian food products, not to mention Italian wines, a few<br />

Champagnes and, as of recently, the craft beers of Aleghe in Coazze.<br />

Closed Sunday and Wednesday afternoon.<br />
