FARMS
La Schiavenza is situated where the Serra d’Ivrea, a morainic outcrop, comes to
an end, with a view over Lake Viverone among gently rolling hills covered with
vineyards and orchards amid the scent of flowers and the smell hay. At this typical
Canavese farmhouse, agriturismo and shop, it is possible to buy produce made
with primary ingredients from the Bagnod land. Produce and preparations range
from fresh and cured meat, cheese and yogurt to agnolotti, cakes and preserves.
The farm boasts 200 cattle and also owns other properties in the Canavese district
and the Val d’Aosta. It generates its own electricity with a special plant with biogas
produced from manure and agricultural waste. The shop and adjoining restaurant
are open to the public from Friday to Sunday.
