ou can’t miss the Perotti cake shop on the main street in Pont Canavese, on the way<br />

up to the Gran Paradiso. The business came into being in the 1970s and has since<br />

built up a strong range of chocolates, with 35 different pralines, confectionery, with all sorts<br />

of cakes and tarts, and savories, with a vast ranges of canapés and mini-pizzas. The house<br />

specialty is the giuraja, iced hazelnut wedding bonbons which come in specially designed<br />

packs. Alessandra is always on hand to explain everything about the goodies on display, from<br />

her painstaking choice of the ingredients, all locally produced, to the traditional production<br />

procedures. All items are produced as naturally as possible, in keeping with a 40-year family<br />

tradition of impeccable quality. Closed Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday.<br />
