ou can’t miss the Perotti cake shop on the main street in Pont Canavese, on the way
up to the Gran Paradiso. The business came into being in the 1970s and has since
built up a strong range of chocolates, with 35 different pralines, confectionery, with all sorts
of cakes and tarts, and savories, with a vast ranges of canapés and mini-pizzas. The house
specialty is the giuraja, iced hazelnut wedding bonbons which come in specially designed
packs. Alessandra is always on hand to explain everything about the goodies on display, from
her painstaking choice of the ingredients, all locally produced, to the traditional production
procedures. All items are produced as naturally as possible, in keeping with a 40-year family
tradition of impeccable quality. Closed Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday.
