In fewer than ten years, starting out from<br />

a store of 25 square meters in the center<br />

of Turin, Federico Grom and Guido Martinet-<br />

ti have created a network in more than 30<br />

Italian cities, in France, Japan and the United<br />

States. And they’ve done so while sticking to<br />

their production principles of ingredient se-<br />

lection, traceability, sustainability, and sea-<br />

sonality, in close collaboration with the Mura<br />

Mura organic farm near Costigliole d’Asti.<br />

They also have a special eye for coeliacs and<br />

people intolerant or allergic to certain foods,<br />

who can find a guide to the flavors they can<br />

eat on the Grom website. Favorite flavors<br />

are the now classic “old-style” crema with<br />

lemon zest, crema Grom, flavored with Bat-<br />

tifollo corn biscuits and Colombia choco-<br />

late, extranoir chocolate sorbet , and bacio<br />

chocolate with tonda gentile hazelnuts. Fruit<br />

flavors such as melon, strawberry, apricot,<br />

raspberry, peach and fig, follow the seasons.<br />

Try too the granitas, milk shakes and hot<br />

chocolate.<br />
