Riccardo Carena has been at the helm of this gourmet’s paradise for nine years now.
The store is situated on Bardonecchia’s busy Via Medail, where people — skiers,
walkers, shoppers — come and go all year round. The main attraction is the assortment of
cheeses, with cow’s and goat’s milk Toma and interesting blue cheeses from the surrounding
area, plus sheep’s cheeses from other regions. Riccardo also sells other gastronomic treats
such as wine vinegars, sauces, extra virgin olive oils, preserves, mushrooms and cured
meats, including great Italian and foreign hams. As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also find
400 wines, mostly Piedmontese, and an interesting selection of local craft beers.
