his bakery turns out an amazing variety of products: wholemeal and semiwholemeal<br />

bread with a variety of ingredients (wheat, rye, buckwheat, Kamut,<br />

five-grain), grissini (wheat and Kamut), focaccias, pizza, calzoni, jam tarts, torcetti<br />

biscuits, corn biscuits, buckwheat funghetti cakes and more besides. The secret behind<br />

their goodness lies in the quality of the primary ingredients used (certified organic<br />

flours, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, Atlantic sea salt), the exclusive use of home-<br />

produced sourdough, making for digestibility and preservability, plus, of course, bak-<br />

ing in a wood oven. Also on sale is a nice assortment of organic honeys, jams, pastas<br />

and sauces. Run by the Maritano brothers, the workshop, bakery and shop are all<br />

immersed in the greenery of the Avigliana Lakes nature park. What better destination<br />

for a gourmand’s field trip!<br />

Open every morning and all day Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.<br />
