he work of this splendid farm cum
processing plant is concentrated in and
around an old 17 th century farmhouse on the
Molinasso estate near Carmagnola. The place
has been owned by the Cravero family since 1922
and is currently run by the versatile, professional
Bartolomeo, and his equally talented wife Katia
Gaidano. Right from the outset the family have
bred Piedmontese cattle and large Po Valley
pigs, as well as farm animals such as the Saluzzo
white hen and the Carmagnola grey rabbit.
The Craveros have always had an innate sense
of the concept of animal well-being and feed
their livestock on forage cultivated on their own
farmland with GMO-free seeds. They also grow
fruit and vegetables, including all the ecotypes
of the Carmagnola pepper, which they sell both
fresh and beautifully processed.
Open Thursday and Friday from 8am to
12.30pm and from 3pm to 7pm. Open all day
on Saturday from 8am to 6pm.
