are the numerous cases of rotaviral enteritis
among children who were fully and timely
vaccinated with one of the newly available rotavirus
vaccines. The data on other vaccine-preventable
diseases show that vaccine failures are rare exceptions,
and that vaccinating remains a sound option
for preventing further infections.
In this summary diseases with increasing
numbers are over-represented. A glance at the overview
of 10 years IfSG reported data (Section 5.6)
reveals that just as many other diseases are decreasing
in number.
