Job.17:5 He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.<br />

Job.17:6 He hath made me also a byword of the people; and aforetime I was as a tabret.<br />

Job.17:7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.<br />

pepwrwntai gar apo orghV oi ofqalmoi mou pepoliorkhmai megalwV upo pantwn<br />

Job.17:8 Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the<br />

hypocrite.<br />

Job.17:9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger<br />

and stronger.<br />

Job.17:10 But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.<br />

Job.17:11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.<br />

Job.17:12 They change the night into day: the light is short because of darkness.<br />

Job.17:13 If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.<br />

Job.17:14 I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my<br />

sister.<br />

qanaton epekalesamhn patera mou einai mhtera de mou kai adelfhn saprian<br />

Job.17:15 And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?<br />

pou oun mou eti estin h elpiV h ta agaqa mou oyomai<br />

Job.17:16 They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.<br />

h met' emou eiV adhn katabhsontai h omoqumadon epi cwmatoV katabhsomeqa<br />

Job.18:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,<br />

upolabwn de baldad o saucithV legei<br />

Job.18:2 How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.<br />

Job.18:3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?<br />

dia ti wsper tetrapoda sesiwphkamen enantion sou<br />

Job.18:4 He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be<br />

removed out of his place?<br />

qemeliwn<br />

Job.18:5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.<br />

kai fwV asebwn sbesqhsetai kai ouk apobhsetai autwn h flox<br />

Job.18:6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.<br />

to fwV autou skotoV en diaith o de lucnoV ep' autw sbesqhsetai<br />

Job.18:7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.<br />

Job.18:8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.<br />

Job.18:9 The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.<br />

elqoisan de ep' auton pagideV katiscusei ep' auton diywntaV<br />

Job.18:10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.<br />
