Jdg.3:14 So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.<br />

kai edouleusan oi uioi israhl tw eglwm basilei mwab eth deka oktw<br />

Jdg.3:15 But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer,<br />

Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel<br />

sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.<br />

kai ekekraxan oi uioi israhl proV kurion kai hgeiren autoiV kurioV swthra ton awd uion ghra uiou<br />

tou iemeni andra amfoterodexion kai apesteilan oi uioi israhl dwra en ceiri autou tw eglwm<br />

basilei mwab<br />

Jdg.3:16 But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it<br />

under his raiment upon his right thigh.<br />

kai epoihsen eautw awd macairan distomon spiqamhV to mhkoV kai periezwsato authn upo ton<br />

manduan epi ton mhron ton dexion autou<br />

Jdg.3:17 And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.<br />

kai proshnegken ta dwra tw eglwm basilei mwab kai eglwm anhr asteioV sfodra<br />

Jdg.3:18 And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the<br />

present.<br />

kai egeneto wV sunetelesen awd prosferwn ta dwra kai exapesteilen touV airontaV ta dwra<br />

Jdg.3:19 But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret<br />

errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from<br />

him.<br />

kai eglwm anestreyen apo twn gluptwn meta thV galgal kai eipen awd logoV moi krufioV proV se<br />

basileu kai eipen eglwm pasin ek mesou kai exhlqon ap' autou panteV oi parasthkonteV autw<br />

Jdg.3:20 And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlor, which he had for himself<br />

alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.<br />

kai awd eishlqen proV auton kai autoV ekaqhto en tw uperww tw qerinw autou monwtatoV kai<br />

eipen awd logoV qeou moi proV se basileu kai exanesth apo tou qronou eglwm egguV autou<br />

Jdg.3:21 And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into<br />

his belly:<br />

kai egeneto ama tou anasthnai exeteinen awd thn ceira thn aristeran autou kai elaben thn<br />

macairan apo tou mhrou tou dexiou autou kai enephxen authn eiV thn koilian eglwm<br />

Jdg.3:22 And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he<br />

could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.<br />

kai epeishnegken kai ge thn labhn opisw thV flogoV kai apekleisen to stear kata thV flogoV oti<br />

ouk exespasen thn macairan ek thV koiliaV autou<br />

Jdg.3:23 Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlor upon him, and<br />

locked them.<br />

kai exhlqen awd eiV thn prostada kai apekleisen taV quraV tou uperwou ep' auton kai esfhnwsen<br />

Jdg.3:24 When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of<br />

the parlor were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.<br />

kai autoV exhlqen kai oi paideV autou eishlqon kai eidon kai idou ai qurai tou uperwou<br />

apokekleismenai kai eipan mhpote proV difrouV kaqhtai en th apocwrhsei tou koitwnoV<br />

Jdg.3:25 And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlor;<br />

therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead<br />

on the earth.<br />
