Dan.2:7 They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew<br />

the interpretation of it.<br />

apekriqhsan de ek deuterou legonteV basileu to orama eipon kai oi paideV sou krinousi proV tauta<br />

Dan.2:8 The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye<br />

see the thing is gone from me.<br />

kai eipen autoiV o basileuV ep' alhqeiaV oida oti kairon umeiV exagorazete kaqaper ewrakate oti<br />

apesth ap' emou to pragma kaqaper oun prostetaca outwV estai<br />

Dan.2:9 But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye<br />

have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed:<br />

therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation<br />

thereof.<br />

ean to rhma eiphte moi o thn nukta ewraka gnwsomai oti kai thn toutou krisin dhlwsete<br />

Dan.2:10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that<br />

can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such<br />

things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.<br />

kai apekriqhsan oi caldaioi epi tou basilewV oti oudeiV twn epi thV ghV dunhsetai eipein tw basilei<br />

o ewrake kaqaper su erwtaV kai paV basileuV kai paV dunasthV toiouto pragma ouk eperwta panta<br />

sofon kai magon kai caldaion<br />

Dan.2:11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before<br />

the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.<br />

kai o logoV on zhteiV basileu baruV esti kai epidoxoV kai oudeiV estin oV dhlwsei tauta tw basilei ei<br />

mhti aggeloV ou ouk esti katoikhthrion meta pashV sarkoV oqen ouk endecetai genesqai kaqaper<br />

oiei<br />

Dan.2:12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise<br />

men of Babylon.<br />

tote o basileuV stugnoV genomenoV kai perilupoV prosetaxen exagagein pantaV touV sofouV thV<br />

babulwniaV<br />

Dan.2:13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and<br />

his fellows to be slain.<br />

kai edogmatisqh pantaV apokteinai ezhthqh de o danihl kai panteV oi met' autou carin tou<br />

sunapolesqai<br />

Dan.2:14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's guard,<br />

which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:<br />

tote danihl eipe boulhn kai gnwmhn hn eicen ariwch tw arcimageirw tou basilewV w prosetaxen<br />

exagagein touV sofistaV thV babulwniaV<br />

Dan.2:15 He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the<br />

king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.<br />

kai epunqaneto autou legwn peri tinoV dogmatizetai pikrwV para tou basilewV tote to prostagma<br />

eshmanen o ariwchV tw danihl<br />

Dan.2:16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he<br />

would shew the king the interpretation.<br />

o de danihl eishlqe tacewV proV ton basilea kai hxiwsen ina doqh autw cronoV para tou basilewV<br />

kai dhlwsh panta epi tou basilewV<br />

Dan.2:17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and<br />

Azariah, his companions:<br />

tote apelqwn danihl eiV ton oikon autou tw anania kai misahl kai azaria toiV sunetairoiV upedeixe<br />

panta<br />
