NOTE:<br />

If the value of T8 is the same as in the previous transmission, T8 does<br />

not have to be rewritten. The same value is transmitted until T8 is<br />

rewritten.<br />

When using the 8-bit data format, only SCIDRL needs to be accessed.<br />

When using 8-bit write instructions to transmit 9-bit data, write first to<br />

SCIDRH, then to SCIDRL.<br />

The SCISDOZ bit disables the SCI in doze mode.<br />

1 = SCI disabled in doze mode<br />

0 = SCI enabled in doze mode<br />

RSVD1<br />

Reset: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0<br />

RSVD[5:1] — Reserved<br />

Writing to these read/write bits updates their values but has no effect<br />

on functionality.<br />

RDPSCI — Reduced Drive Bit<br />

This read/write bit controls the drive capability of TXD and RXD.<br />

1 = Reduced TXD and RXD pin drive<br />

0 = Full TXD and RXD pin drive<br />

PUPSCI<br />

= Writes have no effect and the access terminates without a transfer error exception.<br />
