Memory Map and Registers<br />

PUPSCI — Pullup Enable Bit<br />

This read/write bit enables the pullups on pins TXD and RXD. If a pin<br />

is programmed as an output, the pullup is disabled.<br />

1 = TXD and RXD pullups enabled<br />

0 = TXD and RXD pullups disabled<br />

Read: Anytime; when DDRSCx = 0, its pin is configured as an input, and<br />

reading PORTSCx returns the pin level; when DDRSCx = 1, its pin is<br />

configured as an output, and reading PORTSCx returns the pin driver<br />

input level.<br />

Write: Anytime; data stored in internal latch drives pin only if DDRSC<br />

bit = 1<br />

RSVD[7:2] — Reserved<br />

Writing to these read/write bits updates their values but has no effect<br />

on functionality.<br />

PORTSC[1:0] — SCIPORT Data Bits<br />

These are the read/write data bits of the SCI port.<br />

NOTE:<br />

Writes to SCIPORT do not change the pin state when the pin is<br />

configured for SCI input.<br />

To ensure correct reading of the SCI pin values from SCIPORT, always<br />

wait at least one cycle after writing to SCIDDR before reading SCIPORT.<br />
