Archie Carroll was the first one that worked with this concept <strong>of</strong> the corporate social<br />

responsibility in a integral or systemic way. In 1979 he developed a model called<br />

“Organizational Social Performance Model” (Carroll, 1979) in (Joyner et al. , 2002)<br />

(Figure 10), through which were integrated the socio-environmental pressures <strong>of</strong> the<br />

society, the forms <strong>of</strong> responsibility that the organization assumed, as well as the ways<br />

these responsibilities were accomplished.
