in NATURE (London) zu veröffentlichen, oder ersatzweise
eine bezahlte Anzeige. Stefan Marinov hat sich
im Juli 1997 in Graz das Leben genommen.

Marinov extensively explains later on in his journal
(pp. 40-45) how he tried to publish instead the following
text, but that he was told that: "we are enable to publish
the advertisement unless [this note] is deleted [...] we
would naturally refund your money" (letter from Nature,
15th March 1996), so that he had to accept at last
the publication of an "amended" version.]"

des Trägheitsbegriffs und des Kraftbegriffs von
Descartes, Newton und Euler zu Klassischer Mechanik,
Mach und in der Relativistik. Der Abschnitt über Mach
und die SRT (S. 161) lautet:
"According to classical mechanics, inertia and momentum
are absolute, i. e. without any relationship to
other masses. Ernst Mach [11] criticized the vagueness
of inertia on account of the missing frame of reference.
Since Mach denied the possibility of an absolute frame
of reference (the universe), he argued for an inertia
caused by relative motions of all masses. Strictly speaking
that means that inertia is coerelative.
But the causality of Machian iertia remained a mystery.
Moreover, by Mach's nominal definition of force

"economy of thoughts" the allegedly banished
mystical inertia came back in through the back
door.
This completely contradictory theory was the source
for the erroneous relativistic theory of inertia: In the
relativistic equation of motion, inertia occurs t w i c e ,
on the left side of the equality sign as the classical
absolute term ma and on the right side as the correlative
Machian inertial forces. See for example Thirring [14]
and Hund [9].
This means that the classical inertial force ma is
due to non classical Machian inertial forces!" - Die

Auszug: "Introduction. - The equations of the theory
of relativity have been verified by experiment, and are
therefore valid beyond question. But this does not prove
that the theory is true. Agreement with experiment is
only a necessary condition, not a sufficient one. Just
what is required to obtain sufficiency is a very complex
philosophical issue known as the problem of induction.
Even Ayn Rand did not have a complete answer, but I
believe she identified the essential requirement: integration.
Everyone who learns the theory of relativity initially
thinks that it is very strange and encompasses many
"weird" effects. It is usually taught by professors who
take delight in confounding their students with talk of
traveling twins who age at different rates; twenty foot
long cars inside of ten foot long garages; space that is
"curved" so that if you keep traveling in a straight line,
you eventually arrive back at your starting point; and
the velocity addition law, where c + c = c. The students
eventually become acclimated as they work through all
the standard exercises and learn the mathematics. They
