all those interpretations of Mach's Principle which
follow the pattern of §1.2. By the same token, this
author considers General Relativity, which allows an
internally consistent discussion of empty 'inertial spacetime'
- that of special relativity - to be similarly invalidated."
Im heranzogenen §1.2 wurde die übliche Interpretation
des Mach-Prinzips dargelegt, daß die gesamte Materie
des Universums lokale Trägheitseigenschaften induziert,
und welche Mechanismen für diese Wirkung
angenommen werden.
Bezweifelt die angenommene Homogenität des Universums
der Urknall-Theorie aufgrund gegenteiliger
Beobachtungsergebnisse (S. 183).
notion of particle proper time) als Zirkelschluß (S.
184): "the notion of particle proper time involves the
prior definition of a system of observers' clocks - so
that some notion of clock-time is factored into the prior
assumptions upon wich the theory of relativity is built."
der Partikel ergibt (S. 186): "The elapsing of time is
given a direct physical interpretation in terms of the
process of displacement in the model universe." Folgert
aus allgemeinen Annahmen eine instantane Fernwirkung
der Gravitation (S. 187-188).
SRT. ART. GRAVIT. FERNW. SONNE.
Diskutiert zunächst die metaphysischen Voraussetzungen
für die Behandlung fundamentaler Fragen der Physik,
die Erkenntnismöglichkeiten der fundamentalen
Größen Raum, Zeit, Masse und Ladung, die herrschenden
Symmetrien und die diskreten oder kontinuierlichen
Maßeinheiten. "It is the continuity of mass which
finally forces us to consider the question of instantaneous
action at a distance for gravity." (S. 163)
zu widersprechen (S. 163): "This, however,
we will find, is not the case." - Die ART ist überhaupt
keine Theorie der Gravitation, sondern eine Theorie der
Effekte der Gravitation (S. 163): "Gravity, according to
the theory, curves space-time, but it is not necessary to
assume further that curved space-time produces gravity.
That is, there is nothing in the equations of general
relativity which demands that the gravitational field
must be nonlinear."
Arbeit: Dark matter, missing planets and new comets:
paradoxes resolved and origins illuminated. Berkeley
1993, S. 47-52. Rowlands (S.164):
"The only way in which we can distinguish between
instantaneous and light-speed gravity, in fact, is by
purely gravitational measurement. Here, it would seem
that the evidence, especially from data provided by the
GPS system, favours the instantaneous interpretation.
According to Tom Van Flandern, the absence of an
aberration effect suggests that the speed of gravity is at
least 10[hoch 10] times that of light [11]. For Van
Flandern: 'the Sun's gravity emanates from its
instantaneous true position, as opposed to the direction
from which its light seems to come.' 'If gravity
propagated at the speed of light it would accelerate the
