A Station is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> shore facility with an OPFAC, Command<br />

Cadre, and permanently assigned duty-standers, unit boat allowance, and<br />

equipment.<br />

A Station (small) is a minimally staffed and resource constrained unit<br />

that receives operational direction, command, and support from its parent<br />

unit.<br />

An Auxiliary-Operated Station (small) is a Station (small) that relies<br />

on auxiliary members for its primary duty section staffing for three or<br />

more months per year. Auxiliary operated units may or may not have an<br />

active duty C ommand Cadre (i.e., OIC).<br />

An Aids to Navigation Team (ANT) is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> shore facility<br />

with an OPFAC, Command Cadre, and permanently assigned dutystanders,<br />

unit boat allowance, and equipment.<br />

A STANT is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> shore facility with an OPFAC, Command<br />

Cadre, and permanently assigned duty-standers, unit boat allowance, and<br />

equipment.<br />

A Cutter is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> facility with an OPFAC, Command Cadre,<br />

and permanently assigned duty-standers, unit boat allowance, and<br />

equipment.<br />

A MSST is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> shore facility with an OPFAC, Command<br />

Cadre, and permanently assigned duty-standers, unit boat allowance, and<br />

equipment, which reports to the Deployable Operation Group (DOG).<br />

A MSU is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> shore facility with an OPFAC, Command<br />

Cadre, and equipment which reports to a Sector Commander. Some<br />

MSUs have a unit boat allowance.<br />

A MSD is a subordinate unit of a Sector that is created when a<br />

Prevention workforce is needed in a geographically separated location.<br />
