Chapter 1 -- Introduction<br />

B.6. Deputy<br />

Commandant for<br />

Mission Support<br />

(DCMS)<br />

DCMS shall:<br />

(01) Provide technical, logistical, and administrative support beyond the<br />

capabilities of Operational Commanders to units with standard boats.<br />

(02) Verify during compliance audits proper boat maintenance record<br />

keeping and documentation in accordance with this and other<br />

directives.<br />

(03) Establish materiel and boat crew evaluation standards and<br />

guidelines.<br />

Periodically provide observers to accompany the STAN Team during<br />

assessment visits.<br />

B.7. DCO<br />

The DCO shall:<br />

(01) Manage and oversee the continuity and effectiveness of the<br />

Readiness and Standardization Program.<br />

(02) Assist FORCECOM in the review Readiness and Standardization<br />

Assessment visit schedules.<br />

(03) Periodically provide observers to accompany the STAN Team<br />

during assessment visits.<br />

(04) Consult with other HQ program managers to develop standards,<br />

reduce sources of variation, and improve procedures and<br />

uniformity.<br />

(05) Chair configuration control boards (CCBs) for standard boats and<br />

meet regularly.<br />

(06) Assist FC-A in coordination and sponsor an annual Readiness and<br />

Standardization Conference.<br />

(07) Assist FC-A in the review and publish annual assessments and<br />

other statistics provided by the STAN Teams.<br />
