Certifications<br />

Every unit has unique operational requirements based on their Area of<br />

Responsibility and tempo of operations or demand for <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong><br />

services. The following list of unit competencies/certifications is<br />

considered representative, but not all inclusive:<br />

E.2.a. Cross-<br />

Designations<br />

Members of the boat crew may be cross-designated as Boarding Team<br />

Members or Boarding Officers, but all members of the boat crew are not<br />

required to be cross-designated. Personnel assigned to boat Stations are<br />

expected to achieve Boarding Team Member certification.<br />
