H.3. Unit<br />

Responsibilities<br />

Units without specific ATON responsibilities may be requested to<br />

position floating ATON within 10 meters of assigned position, as time,<br />

resources, and platform limitations permit.<br />

In addition, personnel assigned to units may be requested to perform the<br />

following:<br />

(01) Seek out methods to improve the system of ATON in their<br />

forwarding suggestions to the proper authority.<br />

(02) Collect and report information regarding discrepant aids<br />

the time.<br />

AOR,<br />

(03) Receive, report, and record weather observations as required to<br />

facilitate ATON operations.<br />

(04) Transit their AOR and report on the status and condition of<br />

ATON, including<br />

hazards to navigation.<br />
