Requirements<br />

Permanent entitlement requires five years of cumulative service at Boat<br />

Force field units as defined in Part 2, Chapter 6, Section A, Pewter-Tone<br />

Insignia, paragraph A.3.<br />

Temporary entitlement is not authorized.<br />

Qualification<br />

Requirements<br />

Qualification requirements are as follows:<br />

(01) Attain Boat Crew Member qualification code (enlisted) or<br />

certification letter (officer).<br />

(02) Attain Boarding Team Member or Boarding Officer qualification<br />

code ( enlisted) or certification letter (officer) by completing the<br />

PQS promulgated in Reference (tt). (Auxiliary members are<br />

exempt from this requirement.)<br />

(03) Attain Boat Forces Operations qualification code (enlisted) or<br />

certification letter (officer) by completing the PQS in Reference<br />

(uu). Command Cadre at a Station or Aids to Navigation Team<br />

(ANT), by virtue of their successful service in these positions,<br />

have gained the knowledge and experience associated with the<br />

PQS and are therefore exempt from this requirement.<br />

(04) Attain a favorable recommendation from the member’s chain of<br />

command.<br />
