Chapter 2 – Unit and OPCON Readiness Evaluations<br />

B.6. RFO<br />

Evaluation<br />

Report<br />

Operational Commanders shall provide unit Commanders an RFO<br />

evaluation report. At a minimum, the RFO evaluation report must<br />

contain the following information:<br />

(01) An evaluation of the unit’s boat crew training and qualification<br />

program.<br />

(02)<br />

The results of the written tests administered.<br />

(03) Results of rescue and survival systems evaluation with regard to<br />

documentation, periodic maintenance, issuance, condition and use<br />

of equipment, and the unit’s personal protective equipment<br />

program in accordance with Reference (f).<br />

(04) Results of the physical fitness evaluation.<br />

(05) An evaluation of the unit’s personal protective equipment<br />

program as outlined in Reference (f).<br />

(07) A statement for each standard boat indicating whether the boat is<br />

“Bravo” or “Charlie” as defined in this Manual Part 5, Chapter 4,<br />

Materiel Inspections. If a boat was found to be “Charlie”, the<br />

specific reasons supporting the determination.<br />

(08) A detailed list of materiel discrepancies noted during the materiel<br />

inspection and full power trial.<br />

(09) Discrepancies that were noted and remain uncorrected from the<br />

last Readiness and Standardization Assessment or RFO<br />

Evaluation shall be identified.<br />

A summary of underway exercise evaluations including a<br />

determination of boat crew proficiency and adherence to standard<br />

operating procedures. Copies of drill evaluation sheets may be<br />

included in this Section.<br />

Determination<br />

The final RFO evaluation report will be kept on file by both the<br />

Operational Commander and the unit. A copy will be forwarded to the<br />

Standardization Team.<br />
