Units<br />

Permanent entitlement requires five years of cumulative service at Boat<br />

Force field units.<br />

The following qualify as Boat Force units:<br />

(01) Aids to Navigation Teams (ANTS)<br />

(02) Centers of Excellence (NMLBS, BFCO, SMTC)<br />

(03) MFPU<br />

(04) MSST/MSRT<br />

(05) MSU/MSD<br />

(06) PSU<br />

(07) Sector<br />

(08) Standardization Teams<br />

(09) Stations<br />

(10) Strike Teams<br />

(11) Cutters<br />

(12) Commandant (CG-731)<br />

Cutters, Sector: only service in a billet with direct and regular<br />

involvement in boat operations qualifies (CO/OIC determination).<br />

Units not listed above may submit a written request for determination of<br />

eligibility to Commandant (CG-731) via their chain of command.<br />

<strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> Auxiliary service requirements include a minimum of 1 day<br />

per week of support, patrol, or watches at a Boat Force unit for 5 years<br />

(or an equivalent amount of service representing a prolonged and<br />

dedicated commitment directly impacting Boat Force operations<br />

community).<br />
