D.6. Food<br />

Services Officer<br />

The duties of the Food Services Officer are:<br />

(01)<br />

Provide commissary services.<br />

Engineering Department<br />

(02) Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the galley and commissary.<br />

(03) Prepare commissary reports, inventories, and requisitions.<br />

(04) Carry out such instructions as are promulgated in References (i)<br />

and (yy).<br />

(05) Direct training of Food Service Specialists (FS).<br />

D.7. Assistant<br />

Engineering Petty<br />

Officer<br />

The duties of the Assistant Engineering Petty Officer (AEPO) are as<br />

follows:<br />

(01) Assist the EPO generally in the administration of the functions of<br />

the Engineering Department.<br />

(02) Serve as Engineering Department “Shop Supervisor”:<br />

a) Direct preventive and corrective maintenance of boats, vehicles,<br />

facilities, and all associated equipment.<br />

b) Plan, schedule, and control all phases of maintenance. Perform<br />

progress checks on all work assigned.<br />

c) Maintain a boat maintenance status board and keep all<br />

appropriate personnel informed of boat status.<br />

d) Ensure maintenance instructions are prepared when required.<br />

e) Ensure prompt and safe movement of boats to facilitate the<br />

maintenance effort.<br />

f) Prepare necessary boat docking or parking plans.<br />

g) Process repairable materiel in a serviceable status.<br />

h) Initiate requests for required shop materiel, periodically review<br />

shop usage, and establish inventory re-order points.<br />
