Coxswain<br />

The check-ride will be conducted by an experienced, certified Pursuit<br />

Coxswain from the BCEB. The evaluation should include drills<br />

involving purusit boat maneuvering, use of force against non-compliant<br />

vessels, decision making, weapons usage, crew control, LE mission<br />

management and the maturity and judgment necessary to perform as a<br />

Pursuit Coxswain. Commands should consider the use of outside<br />

resources, where necessary, to ensure proper standards are maintained.<br />

(02) Crew brief/debrief.<br />

(03) Judgment.<br />

(05) Use of rescue and survival/ personal protective gear.<br />
