(06) Preparation and maintenance of required forms, records,<br />

publications, correspondence, reports, and files.<br />

(07) Procuring, receiving, stowing, issuing, shipping, disposing of,<br />

accounting for, and while in the custody of the SPO, maintaining<br />

all stores and equipment of the assigned Aids to Navigation<br />

Team(s), except as otherwise prescribed in appropriate directives<br />

or regulations.<br />

(08) Inspecting services and materiel received under contract or order calling<br />

for inspection on delivery, unless this function has been specifically<br />

assigned in writing by the OIC to another department having technical<br />

jurisdiction over the services or materiel.<br />

(09) When specifically designated by the Commandant, the SPO shall<br />

function as the authorized certifying officer, assistant disbursing<br />

officer, or cashier of the Aids to Navigation Team. This includes<br />

the procurement and disbursement of official funds for the <strong>Coast</strong><br />

<strong>Guard</strong>, the payment of personnel, and payment for materiel and<br />

services procured by the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong>, in accordance with<br />

procedures prescribed in Reference (xx).<br />

(10) Specific SPO duties and responsibilities may also include, but not<br />

be limited to, the following:<br />

a) Procurement Desktop or other ledger updates<br />

b) IMPAC verification report<br />

c) Requisitions and procurements including automated<br />

requisitions, procurement requests (PRs), and any related<br />

research<br />

d) Mail usage reports<br />

e) UPH usage reports<br />

f) Property reports and surveys<br />

g) PI/MI inspection follow-up<br />

h) CDAR follow-up and aftercare – requires training<br />

i) GSA vehicle report<br />

j) Inventory management<br />
