Chapter 1 – Station Organization and Watch-Standing<br />

A.4.a. Elements<br />

The elements of a Station (small) include all of the following:<br />

(01) Multi-mission shore facility<br />

(02) Duty crew berthing<br />

(03) Vessel moorings and limited maintenance<br />

(04) Operate boats in support of limited missions<br />

(05) Provided with boat and personnel<br />

(06) Auxiliary-Operated Station (small) may or may not have boats or<br />

personnel assigned<br />

(07) Provide Station level training and limited equipment maintenance<br />

(08) Provide their own internal supervision<br />

(09) Receive support and services from:<br />

a) Parent Station,<br />

b) District Office,<br />

c) Sector office,<br />

d) Base,<br />

e) Integrated Support Command, or<br />

f) Other host command.<br />

A.4.c. Auxiliary-<br />

Operated Station<br />

(small)<br />

A Station (small) that relies on <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> Auxiliary members for its<br />

primary duty section staffing for three or more months a year is<br />

considered to be an Auxiliary-Operated Station (small). Auxiliary<br />

operated units may or may not have an active duty Command Cadre (i.e.,<br />

OIC).<br />
