Responsibilities<br />

The unit Training Petty Officer (E-6 or above) is responsible for the dayto-day<br />

management of the unit training program at ashore operational<br />

units with <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> boats assigned. This involves various record<br />

keeping and supervisory duties.<br />

The Training Petty Officer is responsible for the following tasks:<br />

(05) Interviewing prospective trainees and instructors.<br />

(06) Recommending trainee/instructor assignments.<br />

(07) Monitoring trainee progress.<br />

(08) Coordinating certification procedures with the BCEB and the unit<br />

Commander.<br />

(09) Maintaining a central file of lesson plan outlines for all recurring<br />

training.<br />

Maintaining E-Training records.<br />

Maintaining unit training file.<br />

(03) Supervising unit instructors.<br />

Updating the unit Commander.<br />

Maintaining records of completed drills and exercises.<br />
