8.3.1 Ports<br />

Table 8-9 gives a brief description of the MPSVisualisation component ports. Refer to the<br />

Microcontroller Prototyping System platform documentation for more details. See the<br />

Microcontroller Prototyping Board User Guide.<br />

to show current instruction count.<br />

clock_50Hz ClockSignal slave 50Hz clock input<br />

touch_screen MouseStatus master Provides mouse events when the<br />

visualization window is in focus.<br />

lcd_layout LCDLayoutInfo master Layout information for alphanumeric<br />

LCD display.<br />

cpu_leds ValueState slave Displays state using the eight colored<br />

LEDs on the status bar. These LEDs are<br />

driven by the LED_LIGHTS register as<br />

on the MPS hardware.<br />

cpu_switches ValueState slave Provides state for the four DIP switches<br />

on the status bar.<br />

lcd LCD slave Displays state using LCD display.<br />

dut_switches_and_buttons ValueState slave Sets and displays state for four DIP<br />

switches and four buttons.<br />

dut_leds ValueState slave Displays state using the eight colored<br />

LEDs on the status bar.<br />

dut_led_7seg ValueState slave Displays state using four digit seven<br />

segment display.<br />

char_lcd CharacterLCD slave Displays state using the alphanumeric<br />

LCD display.<br />

percfg ValueState slave Sets and displays status of SD card.<br />

8.3.2 Additional protocols<br />

The MPSVisualisation component has four additional protocols, all of which are described in<br />

Chapter 5 Peripheral and Interface Components.<br />

The four protocols are:<br />

• LCDLayoutInfo<br />

• MouseStatus<br />

• LCD<br />

• CharacterLCD<br />
