0.5).There were significant positive correlations among all four parameters (p0.05). However, the last
measurement result (one day before competition) was nearly 0.5 kg less then other two tests,
tended weight lost but it was near the normal limit in euhydration definition and criteria with
respect weight changing (14). This conclusion was supported by the subjects’ interview and
short questionnaire that they generally said to applied mild weight lost practice especially in
last days for this competition. While body weight changes may be used to asses the changing
in hydration status during single exercise bout, over longer periods of time, it may be
influenced by many factors other then a change in hydration status per see, such as food
intake, bowel movement, substrate metabolism and body composition (13,24). From the
present result it can be say that as a node body weight of early morning for assessing whole
body hydration status over a prolonged period of time, was may not be accurate (24). Then
although the diurnal mean changes was less in weight in this study may still reflects the loss
of body fluids from euhydration, but can vary widely between each other method (14).
Beside the weight changing, different urinary variables have been suggested to be
good indicator of the level of hydration. Osmolality measurement is one of the primarily used
tests for this purpose (10,17,19). Osmolality results of this study revealed the relatively high
level of morning osmolality representing dehydration in all of three measurements chronically
in comparing the values with similar studies (Table 1). Shirreffs and Maughan found morning
urine osmolality for weight category athletes tended to have greater osmolality than
nonweight category athletes. For their subjects, values were 627 ±186 mOsmol.kg-
1(nonweigth category sports), 775±263 mOsmol.kg-1(boxers) and 777±254 mOsmol.kg-
1(wrestlers) (20). In some case euhydrated status is characterised for urine osmolality < 500
