students to develop favourable attitudes toward physical education. At this point,
additional studies are needed to focus not only on the importance of physical education as
an academic subject but also its importance as it related to other subject areas of the
school curriculum (7).
In conclusion, a better understanding of students’ attitudes provides a broad
perspective for quality and quantity of physical education. Improving favourable attitudes
toward physical education among students should be one of the purposes of teachers and
school administrators. Teachers and physical education departments should work together
to provide instructions in order to improve attitudes toward physical education. Similarly,
efforts should also make to educate the students about the benefits of physical education
in their life. However, the results of this study are not satisfactory to understand students’
attitudes toward physical education. The reasons should be examined in detail by
conducting surveys and interviews among the students. Furthermore, additional studies
should be conducted that use or develop a variety of instruments to measure students’
attitudes toward different aspects of physical education. Future studies should be
investigated to determine what other factors that might influence attitudes toward
physical education.
