students to develop favourable attitudes toward physical education. At this point,<br />

additional studies are needed to focus not only on the importance of physical education as<br />

an academic subject but also its importance as it related to other subject areas of the<br />

school curriculum (7).<br />

In conclusion, a better understanding of students’ attitudes provides a broad<br />

perspective for quality and quantity of physical education. Improving favourable attitudes<br />

toward physical education among students should be one of the purposes of teachers and<br />

school administrators. Teachers and physical education departments should work together<br />

to provide instructions in order to improve attitudes toward physical education. Similarly,<br />

efforts should also make to educate the students about the benefits of physical education<br />

in their life. However, the results of this study are not satisfactory to understand students’<br />

attitudes toward physical education. The reasons should be examined in detail by<br />

conducting surveys and interviews among the students. Furthermore, additional studies<br />

should be conducted that use or develop a variety of instruments to measure students’<br />

attitudes toward different aspects of physical education. Future studies should be<br />

investigated to determine what other factors that might influence attitudes toward<br />

physical education.<br />
