the execution of the given exercises. Students will also be asked if they had any difficulty
in performing the activities.
A strengthening program will be developed for improving the students’ abilities
to draw the 16 kg bows. This program will be applied after all of the sessions as
stretching, strengthening, and cooling down exercises. Elastic ropes will also be used for
both to teach the shooting techniques and improve endurance of upper body parts. A
mirror will be used to supply visual feedback for the learner.
Student Evaluation
Student evaluation will consist of 3 quizzes, 1 mid-term and 1 final examination. Quizzes
will be related with homework assignments about safety rules, equipment information,
and history of archery. The percentage of each quiz will be 5 out of 100. Quizzes will
assess acquisition of theoretical knowledge on archery. Mid-term examination will
consist of theoretical and practical parts. The mid-term will be %35. The theoretical and
practical parts will cover the 15 and 20 points respectively. In the practical examination,
students will be supposed to perform basic archery skills. The points the learner gathers
by hitting the target will not be taken into account. 50 points will be allocated for the final
exam. 20 percentages of 50 will include theoretical and 30 percentages will be given for
the practical part. This time in practical part, the points gathered by the students from 18
and 30 meters by shooting 10 arrows to each distance will be evaluated. The evaluation
procedure is shown in the table 1 as the following:
