§93
Germany is recommended to
develop an updated country specific
ash content or to use the IPCC
default
ERT recommended that Germany
ensure that the reporting of
emissions from urea application
does not lead to double counting of
CO2 emissions from ammonia
production. Germany is encouraged
to provide further
ERT recommends that Germany
corrects the amount of Nreported in
the CRF table 4.D and include
buffalo and goats in ist next annual
submission
The ERT recommends that Germany
revise its estimate for EFg using the
IPCC good practice guidance default
factor, or alternatively develop a
country specific (CS) EFg for the
2010 submission, taking into
account regional climate, soil and
other relevant conditions. Such a CS
shall include uncertainty estimates
and substantiating documentation.
ERT strongly recommends that
Germany exclude the sink of CH4 in
the subcategory other agricultural
soils for all years from 1990 to 2007
from the inventory as it is no
anthropogenic sink and there is no
guidance on this CH4 sink
ERT requests to include a key
category analysis in accordance with
the IPCC GPG for LULUCF
ERT recommended that Germany
provide all necessary documentation
and information on land-use
definitions, the classification systems
used for LULUCF categories, the
areas and land-use data sets for the
inventory preparation, and the
assumptions used in extrapolations
and interpolations of AD.
ERT recommends that Germany
report under this category each
carbon stock change occurring in
land converted to forest land, and to
apply the relevant methodologies
provided in the IPCC GPG for
LULUCF.
ERT recommended that Germany
report all relevant information on the
applied methodology for estimating
carbon stock changes in living
biomass and mineral soils in the
next submission and revise the
applied methodologies if it is not
able to adress the issues raised.
ERT noted the Germany did not
report emissions of CO2 from
composting under the waste sector.
Therefore teh ERT recommends that
losses of DOM be reported under
the category settlements in the next
annual submission
Germany applies the IPCC default (8
%) instead of the value used in the
2010 submission (13.9 %) for its
submission 2011
In its submission 2011 does not
report emissions from urea
application as there was a double
counting with CO2 emissions from
ammonia production.
Germany included EF for all animal
categories in the Submission 2011
Germany uses for its resubmission
2010 and the submission 2011 the
EFg and EFr recommended by the
IPCC Good Practice Guidance.
Germany does not report a sink of
CH4 in the subcategory other
agriculatural soils in the submission
2011
Germany provided with the
submission 2011 a TIER 2 key
source analysis including LULUCF
Germany provided with the NIR
2011 a comprehensive
documentation and LU definitions,
LULUCF categories and AD.
Germany applies the methodologies
provided in the IPCC GPG for
LULUCF to reports each carbon
stock changes occurring in land
converted to forest land
Germany provide with the NIR 2011
all relevant information on the
applied methodology to estimate
carbon stock changes in living
biomass and mineral soils
Germany reports with its submission
2011 emissions of CO2 from
composting under the waste sector
